iMessage says add on email already in use

    When I try to add one of my emails emails to iMessage, I get an error that the email is already in use, but it is not. I have other iOS 5 device and made sure that the email is not added anywhere.

    It supposedly send a verification email before it is added, so a 3rd party could not do so.

    Any ideas?

    Make sure it's not listed as an "alternate email" on your iTunes account or on a account.
