DFU restore? Also sometimes plugging into a computer and activating through computer works much better than over wifi.

Im stuck with that problem too. I already restored via my MacBook and iTunes with activation via iTunes but didn't fix the issue. Tried the Basic stuff with deactivation, restore with and without iCloud or iTunes Backup. Nothing helps.

Any other ideas? :-/

I'm curious if you are also a customer of mobilcom-debitel, Geekfried. I'm from Germany as well and it seems to be correlated with this provider.

Hmm, maybe this is a European/German Problem. My Provider is Deutsche Telekom/T-Mobile.

As far as i know there is an SMS Sent to a UK-Number. My first thought was that my SMS to international Numbers where blocked by the Provider. Checked that twice (via Twitter-Support and Phone-Support) but nothing to find.

Same issue on a new iPad Air 2 I got at work. Not sure if they blocked messaging on the network or if it's an actual activation issue..

Keep your iPhone on Airplane mode and try it.
