I did a factory reset on my iPhone 13 Pro a couple days ago and noticed now that my Apple Watch S7 is only syncing the last 15 iMessage threads. Tried hard rebooting both phone and watch but no change. This isn’t normal, right? Could’ve sworn that before, I could scroll through iMessage threads on the watch for days. Would factory resetting my phone but not watch cause this sync issue?

On a side note, announce notifications and messages with Siri on my APP has Siri sounding like a voice assistant from 90’s. Very robotic. All other Siri speech are normal like voice directions, creating a reminder, sending a text, etc. just announce with Siri is screwed up.

All devices on latest software. Thanks for reading and appreciate any suggestions.

Sadly completely normal it would seem. When I did the same awhile ago I only got random messages synced back on the watch. And I know it was random because I had to reset the same watch again the same day and a different batch of messages synced. Just typical Apple crap!

Oh and the robotic voice is normal, it will automatically download the proper Siri voice when it is charging

Thanks for the feedback. Really annoying to have to do factory resets through out the year to fix one issue but then break others. I guess I’ll try unpairing the watch… again for the third time this OS cycle. See what happens.

About the voice thing. It’s been on its 4th charge cycle since the reset and it’s only with announce. Very annoying as it’s not as easy to understand what’s being said. Hopefully the unpair fixes it.

Not sure then apart from, as you say, a re-pair. You’re right though, we have to jump through hoops to get the basic things working these days. And Apple still haven’t fixed the Hand Washing reminders when you get home and this affects EVERYONE on the latest software. They screwed it with the release of iOS 15 and WatchOS 8 last year!
