iPhone iMessage Text Black

My replies in iMessage all of a sudden have black font. Also the shift, return and delete keys on the keyboard are now a darker colour.

Had a scout through the settings but can't see anything obvious. Anyone know how to get it back to normal?

I've sorted the keyboard by switching Reduce Transparency off. The black iMessages remain though 😕

They're back white now. Flicked Smart Imvert on and off. It's weird because it was never even switched on.
