iMessage text forwarding issues on 6s

Hi,

Looking for some help here. I've just upgraded to an iPhone 6s from a 5s. On the 5s, everything worked perfectly and texts were forwarded to my iPad. After setting up my iPhone 6s I can't get this to work.

Handoff was enabled but when I disabled it and enabled it again, it wouldn't send a code to my iPad (same with the Mac actually). When I exited the screen awaiting the code I noticed it had booted me out of iMessage. Attempting to reconnect to iMessage via iCloud caused the screen to freeze and the phone to get very hot. I can occasionally get back into iMessage with iCloud settings (I'm not sure how but I've been resetting network settings etc). However as soon as I try the procedure again the same thing happens.

Any ideas?? For what it's worth....when I'm out of iMessage I have the same problems logging into FaceTime.

Im having the same problem. When in the "messages" screen and i go to sign in with my apple ID, it just freezes after i enter my info and click sign in

+1. iMessage working fine on my Mac & iPad, but it's sending nothing but texts from my 6S Plus. Are you guys on 9.0.1 or 9.1? I'm on 9.1 public beta and thought that might have something to do with it. Restoring from backup now.

I'm on 9.01. My phone has now connected to iMessage but text forwarding is still broken.

On the phone go into settings -> messages and disable text message forwarding to all your devices. Reboot phone and all devices. Re-enable forwarding one by one and you should be all good.

I can't even get it to show the option for text forwarding on the new phone. :/

Can't sign into iMessage or FaceTime
Talked to Apple, seems to be a server issue
