iMessage: unable to verify email address already in use

    Anyone running into this error when setting up iMessage on their iPad? I login using my AppleID (@mac address). The next screen asks for an email address. I type mine in (@me address) and it says, "Unable to verify email because it's already in use." What's going on here?

    Yes. Set up OK and working on iPhone but same error as you on iPad.
