iMessage when screen is locked

Hey

My girfirend just received her new iPhone5. Her phones seems to have problem dealing with iMessage. It received iMessage fine when the screen is open, but if I try to send her a message while the screen is locked, most of the time the message will never arrive. What could cause iMessage to work when screen is on and stop working when locked ?

have you tried turning it off and on again?

Do you have it set up properly in Notifications to show in the lock screen.

Settings/Notification/Message/View on Lock Screen = On?

If so, try rebooting.

reset network settings, if your running on wifi, may be an issue there. it helped my wifi work properly after i got my 5.
