thank you for any help

Your exact issue wasn't very clear to me but regardless with iMessage/FaceTime issues try this:

1. Go to Settings, iMessage, tap your Apple ID and tap "Sign Out".
2. Go to Settings, FaceTime, and sign out of it as well.
3. Go to General > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
4. When phone boots back up, go to iMessage and sign in. After sign in you may see it say "Waiting for activation..." for a few seconds.
5. Send yourself an iMessage (or have a friend) to your phone number to test.

That's all you can really do..... besides last resort of restoring the entire phone and start fresh.

Hope that helps,
-Andrew

Go to settings> messages
then turn iMessage on, I think you might turn it off by accident.
