Ever since updating to iOS 14 there are times when the imessages only show up on one device usually my iPhone... and if i open messages on my iPad the same thread will be missing texts...and then randomly it will update and show everything that was missing. It’s frustrating because I’ve never had this issue with imessage threads not being in perfect sync at all times. They’ll be times im on the iPad using it and receive nothing...only to then grab my phone and see that there are messages that I received. Hope that makes sense... Ive read up and tried different things including logging out and back in with my Apple ID on both devices as well as turning iMessage off then back on on each device as well...Thanks

I have a similar issue

When I delete messages on my iPhone, they still remain on my iPad and iMac/MacBook Pro.

And when people in SMS group texts message back, their texts come in as separate threads.

Another thing that happens, is when I respond to an iMessage on my iPad, the red notification badge is still present on my iPhone, until I open the iMessage app.

Very annoying.

I haven't noticed the issue between my iPhone and iPad Pro as much as between those devices and my iMac. I frequently have to close the Message app on my iMac and restart it to get it to sync with my mobile devices.

I also have this issue. Where iMessages shows up on my watch but not my iPhone. They are simply missing, when comparing both.

There is definitely something going on with Messages lately. If I delete a message from my iPhone it won’t always delete from my watch. Sometimes messages show up on my phone but don’t alert my watch. And then the worst of all, sometimes I don’t get any notification at all and that has been discussed in other threads.

I too have this issue; deleting from 1 device is not deleting from other; super frustrating that I need to keep deleting it from all the devices.
