iMessages not syncing

Hi all,

I received my iPhone X today and so far I think it’s great however I am having issues with my messages not syncing across. I set it up as I brand new phone and enabled iMessage but none of my messages from my old device are syncing across.

Any ideas?

Old iMessages won't sync... That feature was removed from iOS 11.1...Not sure when it will return yet...

You should get new iMessages on all your devices though.

They won’t until Apple enable the feature in an update to iOS later this year. Only way to transfer them at the moment is to restore from backup or use a third party app like phoneview.

That’s strange. They are syncing across to my other devices (Mac Pro and iPad Pro) even ones that I received before I had the devices.
