Two question, Is it normal for a message for a message to take 45-60s after it alerts your phone to alert your watch? And second, (I should no this but I don't) are iMessages that are on your phone/watch supposed to show up under messages on your mac?

yes to both of those things from my experience in the past two days. iMessages should continue to operate as normal on your Mac--that functionality should not have changed due to the addition of an Apple Watch to your lineup.

I'm getting quite a long delay for the iMessage notification to show up on the watch too. Sometimes they don't even show up at all. Not sure if I'm doing something wrong?
Or if being on wifi or not makes a difference? Anyone more clues up on this?

I had similar issue first time in last 6 days of use. I reset Network settings on my iPhone and then reset watch (Press both crown and button below simultaneously until Apple Logo appear) All good after that.

I hope this works for you.

It has something to do with Bluetooth connectivity I guess and should be resolved after this.

How do you know it's alerting your phone first? That means your checking your phone. It will always go to your phone first if your using it. Then if you ignore it and don't read it it will alert your watch.

Trust me. If your phone is locked and dark. It goes to your watch immediately and won't even wake or make your phone notify you. This is normal behavior.

This is how it works between all apple devices.

Actually I know the I got a message because I hear the ding from the phone sitting six feet away. This is every message. I am sorry I don't trust you on this one.

Ok, I unpaired the watch and started over. Now the watch is alerting and not the phone but during testing I can message my wife and her watch immediately alerts but when she responds there is still a 30+ second delay before my my watch alerts me.

Worst part of this exercise is that I lost all of my fitness/exercise data for the day.

Reboot both devices. Worked for me.
