iMessages storage discrepancy

It showed around 4GB but still shows 800 meg after install after migrating to 14PM

I’m at 14 GB iCloud Messages and can’t for life of me figure out why it’s so high. I’ve deleting almost all my messages yet this never goes down.

Yeah. I think I figured it out. iCloud shows 5GB iMessage storage but on device it shows 800 meg. Lol.

For me 800 mb on device. How do I get rid of the iCloud data? Ugh

I got no idea mate. Sorry. For me it’s showing around 800meg on device but in the iCloud around 5GB. I’m thinking that not all the iMessages are downloaded onto my iPhone perhaps ?
