Hi, I am editing up some video for a club I am in. My MacBook is running Mojave 10.14.6. Most of the members sent 1080p clips which I have been able to edit together into their video and export as 1080p just fine. One member sent 4K video and would like me to maintain that if possible. If I just have the video clips, I see the option to export in 4K but when I put the opening logo on the video, it drops to 1080p. The opening logo is our club's logo I put on a white background and saved at the 4K resolution in Photoshop. I then drop it into iMove and have it for a few seconds at the beginning of the clip.

Any idea on why adding the 'picture' to the beginning of the clips limits the resolution? Could it be that I need to up the resolution of the logo file even more?

Thanks,
Brian

As far as I know that's the way iMovie works. If there were clips in the Timeline of varying resolution, how else could it decide on the resolution of the final Export?
