iMovie 05 question (exporting/saving)

Hi,

I've just started fooling around with this program and can't figure out how to save a project as a stand alone movie. I can export as a horribly reduced .mov to email. I can export to iDVD, which I don't have. That's all I can see so far.

When I finish a project there is a .mov in my movies folder that plays the project, but it is only 64K in size so it must be feeding from the iMovie project file.

What am I missing here?

I don't have iMovie 5 so can't recall if it's the Sharing Menu or of it's in something else there.

Either way, you want to export using Quicktime. Rather than using one of the presets, use Expert Settings and play around with the frame rate/codecs until you get to the file size/quality compromise you want. Be aware that the higher the quality/frame rate, the bigger the file size will be.

Aha! When I clicked 'Share" I missed the option tabs other then "email".
