Will iMovie '08 run on the iMac in my signature? I am interested in upgrading, but I want to know if iMovie, which technically requires a 1.9GHz iMac G5, will work on my 1.8GHz iMac G5. Has anyone tried installing it?

Looks Like That's a No Hyperpasta

You might be able to do some creative editing inside the installer. But flat out without a hack it will decline to install. Bummer. :(

Actually, if it is similar to getting it installed on a G4, than I suspect it
will take more than editing the installer. iMovie seems to check for
the same minimum hardware when you start it up. I don't have a G5, so
I can't help right now with making it work, although I was successful in
getting it to run on my 1.67 Ghz powerbook G4.

Check this link out for steps to get it installed and running on a G4. Maybe it will help you.
