imovie 09 video playback problem

A couple months ago I made a video in imovie 09, it worked great, played and everything. Now, when I went to play it again in imovie, it will get to a certain point in the video and then freeze, the audio will continue but the video is frozen. The movies are not corrupt, I can locate them and play them in quicktime just fine. I have tried deleting the imovie cache files and it still wont work. The only other thing I can think of is updating to imovie 11 and see if that solves the issue.

Any other suggestions?
