Anyone know why iMovie 11 doesn't recognise my Panasonic Lumix TZ7? When I try to import movies from this camera iMovie informs me there is no camera connected.

I had no problems previously when using iMovie 09.

I don't use AVCHD files, which is what your camera records video as, but I was reading a topic recently where the answer for this problem was to remove the SD card from the camera and put it in a card reader. iMovie then recognised it.

I will try this. I have a TZ7 and iMovie 11 but I normally just copy the SD cars using a reader to the HDD.

Will post when I've tried

Very much appreciated.

I do have a card reader in the side of my monitor; however, it doesn't seem to like the SD card I use in the TZ7.
