I find it strange that Apple is not providing more templates for iMovie or at least encouraging others to develop tutorials on how to build your own templates. Am I missing somethng?

No Additional Templates

There are currently no additional templates for iMovie. I have resorted to editing separate scenes, finalizing them and then adding to the trailer project. See example:
