If I delete these two apps, can I get them back from the App Store free?

I remember in my old Macbook that when I deleted them, I couldn't get them back without paying. Is that still the case?

All of Apple's non-pro apps are free now. You can download iMovie and Garageband without a problem.

In your App Store, go to the purchased tab. If GB an iM are listed, then you can download them at any time.

Why do you want to delete them? They don't take up a lot of space.

Which version of GarageBand? I'm not a musician but I love to dabble with digital music - I still keep a copy of GB 6.0.5 just for Magic GarageBand for having fun that can't be downloaded pretty much anywhere now. Just sayin'...
