I'm getting warnings about my iCloud storage being full. I looked and it shows almost 500MB for iMovie. The icon looks like the iOS iMovie icon but I never purchased iMovie. I do have iMovie on my Mac so I guess that's where it's coming from. Is there a way I can remove the iMovie files from my iCloud backup without deleting them permanently from my Mac?

Since you should have the file stored locally by default (i'm assuming) then all you have to do is stop iMovie saving to iCloud, this can be done on your mac by going to System Preferences>iCloud>Documents and Data and unchecking iMovie, hope this helps! You may want to check that the files are stored locally and/or copy them onto a USB or external hard drive.

The strange thing is, on my Mac, under iCloud/Documents and Data the only things there are

    1Password Mini
    Preview
    Pages

If I go to Manage then click on iMovie it gives me the option to delete it but it warns that the data will be removed from all my devices.

Ah well could you download the files to a USB etc and then uncheck it?

I discovered the problem was some videos I had added to the iMovie theater. I removed them and regained the space, however that space was quickly used up during the next backup.

I have decided to upgrade to 15GB of iCloud storage but I'm running into another problem.

My iCloud ID is not the same as my Apple Store ID. For some reason when I try to set up iCloud/iMessage/Facetime with my Apple Store ID I cannot seem to get my iCloud e-mail address associated with it. When I set it up with my iCloud address my store ID and phone number are automatically added.

So, when I try to upgrade my iCloud storage I don't have any payment method associated with it. I have a good amount of gift card credit available on my store account so I would like to use that to pay for the extra storage.

Any ideas what I can do?
