Hello Forum

I’m making an small documentary in iMovie, but I want to add some effects
can I continue editing in Motion 5?

I don't have the money at this moment to buy FCP (X)

Thanks

No, Motion is not a video editor... it's more of an "after effects" type program for building special effects, titles, transitions, etc...

There is a free version of DaVinci Resolve from BlackMagic Design... heard some good things about it, but never used it personally... and it's not compatible with iMovie or FCP... might be worth a go.

Try the demo version of the FCPX first. Maybe apply the effects you want and then export the video files and place them on the iMovie timeline.
