iMovie files

I've got a quick question!

I went to the USA to visit my mate last weekend took some footage on DV and imported it to iMovie 08. He's asked for a copy of the original footage and obviously I can't email the huge 10GB file to him, is there any way of splitting the footage and then burning it to DVD?

Any ideas? Thanks for the help in advance.

Toast 8 Titanium will split big files in this manner.

An old iPod will handle the task as well.

If he has a miniDV camcorder as well, just put the footage onto a fresh miniDV tape and ship it to him.
