im working on a experimental video project for school, and am looking for a filter in imovie that gives a blue overtone to the scenes(like in the movie traffic). this does not come stock in imovie, but i was wondering if i could download filters for imovie that would let me do this.

iMovie 6 has something that will do this for you.

Choose your clip, go to Editing, Video Effects and click on Quartz Composer. If you choose the False Colour setting, you'll be able to choose a colour to put over the top of your video.

Once you learn a bit of quartz composer you can end up creating your own crazy effects. Putting them back into Imovie is a bit of a hack, but it already works.

I'm talking about using the Quartz Composer effects built into the editing pane of iMovie 6 rather than creating them in Quartz Composer itself.
