iMovie '06 HD though "HD" would be more light weight than the more modern '08.

Go with iMovie 6 HD, it is better.

6 HD; iMovie '08 seems to kind of be like iPhoto for movies, with a bit of editing functionality thrown in. iMovie 6 HD is a pure editor, dead simple to use. I use it.
