I have imovie 10.0.4
Have worked on iMovie project for school and want to take it from desktop to laptop
Well it is in imove Library. I can work on it on the desktop, but need to save a copy so I can work on the laptop with it.
Tried the share as file and can open it up in the laptop imovie but all files are one big one instead of small ones I can edit.
Please tell me step by step what to do
Heard I need it in the projects but even though it has the action clipboard icon I can't move it.
Only work with one iMovie a year - this time I will take notes.
Thanks in advance

This is what I did in the past to save my files, which will also help you transport them from desktop to laptop. You need to "right click" the iMovie library icon on the desktop computer, and select "Show Package Contents". Copy the project folder, which holds everything, and paste into a flash drive or external drive. Later, paste the project folder inside the iMovie library icon in your laptop. Should work fine!

When I right click this is what I get
new media event
import media
consolidate event media
sort events by
move event to trash

no "show package contents"
What am I missing?

No. Right click on your iMovie Library folder in the Movies folder in your Home Folder. Just be careful what you do in there. If you delete, move or rename files then you won't be able to open the associated Projects in iMovie.
