Hello,
I made an iMovie clip of the collection of photos from a vacation in May. The photos were lost in the meantime due to a failed hard drive and my lack of backup. Is there anyway that this iMovie clip which was converted to an MPEG or quicktime file, I believe, can be converted BACK to iMovie where I can then select the pictures and then just copy them back into my iphoto, do you understand what I am trying to say? (it might be a little badly worded).

Anyway if you know of any way to do the above, please reply! thank you

Probably seems a dumb question but was iMovie installed on the drive that failed? If so, then I'm afraid not. There's no way to convert a movie back to an iMovie project but it *might* have been possible to retrieve the project file from the hard drive using recovery software or Time Machine.
