So, I'm a long time mac user and was keyword was, very used to the iMovie interface. Now, I am making my first movie in iMovie 08'. I know that you can downgrade but I love to use latest tech and so I have this question. As I am making a picture slideshow, how do I get the audio to fit with the transitions?

Thanks,

do you mean make audio to go with it or time the transitions?
you could make the slideshow then create your own audio in imovie that way or the other way is a bit more difficult in imovie, you can right click in the 'timeline' to change the transition timing for each added pic, i hope that helps a bit.

What I wanted to do was

1. Put photos in slideshow.
2. Add audio.
3. Make slideshow match audio duration.

if you drop the audio into the background of the timeline it crops to the length of the slideshow, but if you want the slideshow the same length as the song you would have to work out length of song divided by number of pics and make that the slide time, or do it in idvd if you want to eventually burn it as it does this automatically.
