iMovie iSight audio records out of sync

Recently I have been trying to record videos through my macbooks iSight like I always do but when I play back what I've recorded the audio starts 2 seconds ahead while the video starts at the beginning. Everything I record looks like a Kung Fu movie now, only boring. When the file gets near the end, the playhead jumps back a few seconds and then finishes. The audio is still out of sync when I export it.

AHHHH. I can't figure it out. 😕
