I can't import into IMovie from a DVD I have previously made and have in my computer. I do as HELP says and go to Import, click on my DVD file, computer seems like it is downloading something for about a half second but nothing shows up. When I look at the file on the Hard drive, there is no space taken up. It obviously didn't download. Can I download from a DVD in my computer? If so, how? If not, what are the alternatives?

The iMovie discussion group at www.apple.com has tons of posts on this. Basically iMovie cannot import video from a DVD. One way to do it is with MPEG Streamclip (free), but it requires Quicktime Pro and the Quicktime MPEG-2 plugin.
