Is there a way to make my iMovie show on a loop? I have a 15 minute iMovie with Ken Burns'd pics and music (no video clips). I want to play it once through for an audience, then have it loop without sound/music in the background for the next couple hours after the initial showing. This is for a funeral memorial.

Thanks.

Well, making it loop is one thing - that we can easily arrange. Making it loop without audio after the first run... That's a different case entirely. There probably is a more effecient way of doing it, but I recommend exporting the version you have now, then making a new iMovie project and copy pasting it a thousand times and disabling audio on all but the first one and then just exporting and playing that. It won't be infinite, it'll be a much larger file than it needs to, but as I can think of right now, by far the easiest method and also appropriate enough for the context, since it is still a finite period of time that you need it running.

Thanks for the quick reply! I just want it to auto-restart or loop. Copying/pasting X amount of times will make an incredibly long and memory-heavy file, no? Disabling the audio ought to be simple enough, when the iMovie replays, I'm just going to turn down/off the volume on the MBP playing the movie.

I was hoping for some well-hidden advanced setting that was a check box titled something like "Auto restart iMovie" or "Loop."

Oh, if you're going to be able to manually turn off the volume then there's no problem! I didn't figure you'd have access to the volume control as this was going on.
In the view menu, there's a button labelled "Loop playback" just click that and it'll loop.

Perfect!! That's exactly what I was looking for! Thank you Casperes1996!
