I created a 2 min long video in Imovie consisting of videos and pics from last nights fireworks. When I went to email it, it said...

"Video too long to send. Would you like to select a smaller clip from this video to email?"

2 min's is too long to send? Seems short to me...am I doing something wrong? Is there a way around this?

The file size of the video is too large to email. While the clip is short, it is still large in file size. One method of sharing is to upload it to Dropbox (online storage and need an account) and then share that link with people you want to view your video.

I did use the imovie for iphone to create movie. Not sure what you mean.

There's a size limitation on emailing any movie clips, whether a single file or created in iMovie.

You'd have to download longer clips/iMovie projects directly from iPhone or upload to MobileMe or Dropbox and email people the link to it.
