Hi guys, i'm new to the forum and wasn't sure weather this was suited in this section or the apps section. However, I have a Macbook Pro and I have always used iMovie to make Youtube videos using 1080p footage from an iPhone.
I recently got a GoPro Hero 3 camcorder and have been recording 1080p on there as well at 24 fps. When I import the video onto the Macbook using the Micro SD adapter, the video playback is smooth and excellent with Quicktime. However, when I import the footage to edit in iMovie, upon playback the video is not as smooth as it is in Quicktime and appears to jump/judder/stutter whatever the correct term is. I tried finalising the project and exporting the project however, the footage is still the same. Does anyone have any ideas that will fix this problem or would a higher quality editing software package be better. Such as Adobe Premiere or Final Cut Pro.
