Imovie9 does not detect automatically

iMovie does not recognize the card reader automatically.
they are MTS files, normally iMovie was able to detect the card reader and import files directly.
Now all of a sudden the automatic import page don't show up and i can't import files. And because they are MTS, i can't import by using "import movies" option.
updates are done, card reader works fine.
what should i do? is there a way i can manually find that import page in imovie?

Have you tried the "Import from camera" dialog?
Can you use the camcorder and connect it to your Mac?

i tried, doesn't recognize camera too, it opens the screen of computers camera.😕

no i can't:/ , there's only built-in isight option.
