why is it not worth the hassle seeing as its going to be the exact build version as the public release on the 18th i guess your saying don't bother updating till a % of apps have been updated for iOS7 ?
Yeah. A lot of apps were broken - apps that I need almost every day. They won't start pushing the updates until the real thing has come out.

Wrong.
Since yesterday I updated about 4-5 apps to be "iOS 7 compatible".
But you're right, just wait till wednesday.. most apps will be ready then.

That wasn't his question.

Masands, yes, the GM is the exact same as the public release. When 7.0.1 is released, you can update to it just the same as you would if you hadn't installed the GM and waited for public release on Wednesday.

Thanks bro, but it looks like I will have to Shift+Restore not Shift+Update. It is a painful process to sync everything again so I'll just wait.

Cheers

A bit off topic... Does anyone know what time the final iOS releases are typically released into the wild? I'm hoping I'll be home and can quickly download!! :)

I have noticed that Apple mostly releases iOS updates on Tuesday but it is 17th of September while everywhere is said to be on 18th. So the time could be random- morning or afternoon.

You can shift+update. I do every GM and it works fine.

The one reason I don't wait till launch day is because Apple gets slammed and the download is painfully long. Upgrading early avoids all of that.
