While it seems highly unlikely that we'd be getting any new announcements in the way of iPods at tomorrow's event, what do you guys think the odds are that any of the four currently running iPod lines will get discontinued or impacted in any way?

Updates to the iPod touch seem unlikely due to lack of leaks, but then again, keeping it going with an A5 processor and a 4" screen seems almost wrong.

Updates to the iPod classic are definitely unlikely unless Apple were to replace the 1.8" PATA 160GB Hard Drive with a 1.8" SATA 256GB Solid State Drive, but even then, I'm guessing that's extremely unlikely.

Updates to the iPod shuffle seem unlikely as well; what else would they do to it? Plus, historically the iPod shuffle is updated far less frequently than any other other iPod.

Updates to the iPod nano only seem unlikely due to lack of part leaks, but then again, perhaps they've run out of clever ways to slim it down, or perhaps the watch may replace it.

What say you all? Will any iPod get the axe tomorrow?

The only one we can be sure won't be axed today is the ipod touch because it is going to support ios 8 and I think that they will try and sell it for a while longer.
