Hello everybody,

Ever so often I need to make lists in Excel with pictues. It is normally a list with many articles numbers (between 10 and up to 1.000 sometimes) - and for every article number I need to get the picture from an folder on my computer

It takes forever to do this manually :(

I can do it with mail merge and word, but with that methode, I still have to resize the pictures with a macro.

Is it possible to do this in Excel? So that with running a macro, excel looks in a cell and imports the picture with that filename - and then goes on to the next line and does it all over again. It should keep going until there is no more article numbers in the row.

I hope some of you guys will be able to help me :)

It occurs to me that Excel is the wrong tool for your task. You want a database application. Perhaps there is a Bento template already designed for this task. Certainly, you can create a Bento or FileMaker database that will do the job. You may even consider the database mode of OpenOffice.org. However, Excel is a spreadsheet, not a database.
