import pictures

i got a new mac and i am new to the Apple world...i want to import JPEG pictures on my mac but iphoto does not let me do it. tips appreciated. thanks in advance

File > Import To Library

If that doesn't work, there's more to the story, so please let us know and we'll help out.

Just drag the jpegs into the main iPhoto window. That should work.
