Import Trouble- HDR FX1 into Macbook Pro

Hey all,

I'm trying to import footage I shot today from my Sony HDR FX1 onto my Macbook Pro (17 in, most recent model). I can get it to import manually, but whenever I try to do it automatically, it rewinds the tape, pauses for a few seconds, then says stopped. Help!

are u logging then capturing ? if so, it is stopping because your first clip starts too soon from the beginning of the tape. log your first clip about 10 seconds into the tape. you should always film about 20 seconds of black at the beginning of the tape before u shoot your movie.
