How do I import videos to my macbook that were taken with an ipod touch?

this has been asked several places, mainly everyone on a Mac says iPhoto will do the videos along with photos, as a PC user, i use Google Picasa, which might also have a mac version, to import videos and photos to my computer.

😕 I have a thread a little ways under this one and someone said Iphoto would do it. I was trying to find out, does Iphoto inport both photos and videos of do you have to use Imovie to do the vidos? Thanks 😕
