importing CSV in adress book

posted another question in Mac applications, but got no answers, maybe it was not the right section.

I have the latest version of macbookpro and , it is impossible for me to import any CSV files, from PC nor Gmail. My adress book doesn't want to import any format, even as Text ...

did you experiment this already ? is there any option I need to setup ?

Hi,

Address Book seems to be a bit picky, when it comes to importing addresses from text files. Make sure, you have all values nicely separated by a comma or a tab and your text file has the extension .csv

Somehow Address Book does not seem to like it, if it's a .txt file.


So, something like this in a .csv file works:

Jason,555-323,NY
Phil,555-2378,LA
