importing from Sony DCRVX200 mini dv, problem with jumpy audio

hi there,

i'm digitizing from a mini dv sony DCRVX2000 into my imac using imovie, it works but the audio is jumpy. i do have the 6pin 4pin firewire cable, very frustrating

any help would be appreciated! thanks.

Does the audio sound right when playing back the tape in the camera?

thanks for your reply, you know i think it is the camera...
i have actually figured out a much simpler way to do what i was trying to do so i don't actually need to use the camera anymore.
but i did try cleaning the head of the camera and that didn't seem to help.
i think it is a problem with the camera and am going to have someone look at it. thanks!
