iPad Importing picture via cam connection kit

Need confirmation. If I download 30 pics from my camera to my iPad 2 and not delete them from the sd card,and then the next day take 50 pics and import,are only the new 50 pics imported and not the previous 30 ? Apologies for the simple question,but I can't remember what happened when I did this the last time.

When importing it gives you the choice.
