can this be done? say I had a library I built up on a windows machine & I migrate to a mac, can I bring this existing library into itunes on a mac? or would I have to start over with a new library for itunes on the mac?

& vice versa, can an itunes library built up on a mac with itunes for mac be imported into itunes on a windows machine?

so will this work if I have my itunes library on an external hard drive, I have made a folder on it; Sossitys itunes library to keep everything in this folder together. will this work if I move from pc to mac or mac to pc?

right now I have made a folder on my drive for use with itunes on my mac; Sossitys itunes library mac formatted, & if I move or end up on a pc, I would make a new folder Sossitys itunes library pc formatted.

Do I need to create 2 separate folders for the same itunes library on the external hard drive & have one each for pc and mac versions? the library would be the same for either pc or mac, it would contain basically the same albums. or would it be more efficient to just have one itunes library to import into either os?

I would like to know as I am just starting to build my library, & dont want to change when it gets bigger & more difficult to change. I just want my library & folder to be as cross platform as possible.
