I left ATT years ago and have not had problem since and it cost less monthly. After 45 day call tmobile and they give you unlock code. Sorry for your issues

Seems pretty easy to sell it now that it's unlocked. I found several buyers for ~$650-$700 locked, and now that it's unlocked $750-$800 seems to be the going rate. Note that I also have AppleCare+ with it which I probably can't return anymore, so it's really a $925 value. It's easy to sell right now because backordered on Apple's site. Might get harder once they meet demand.

I'm just holding on to it because I really enjoy having both an Android and Apple device right now. Even though I prefer Android overall (and the Nexus 6 is impressive), some things about the iPhone (fast AF, 240fps slow-mo, laminated screen, and generally the sleek form factor) are just really beautiful.

You can retunr AC+. You get the money back minus the months you used. Basically they take off about $4.20 per month out of $100 until you hit $0 at 24 months (at which point it expires).

A month and a half reply from T-Mobile? Seem they are too busy or have poor customer service. AT&T reply my unlock request in 1 days, (exactly is 6 hours)

I didn't really read through all of the post, but is this correct?

A paid in full AT&T or T-Mobile iPhone would be GSM unlocked.

A paid in full Verizon iPhone will work on all of the US carriers

The Verizon phone won't work on Sprint or regional CDMA carriers like US Cellular who have roaming agreements with Sprint. That said, all Verizon LTE phones, full price or not, are GSM unlocked.

A paid in full AT&T or T-Mobile phone will be unlocked if it is purchased directly from Apple. If it is purchased from the carriers, they will unlock it in accordance with their own terms. AT&T will unlock it right away. T-Mobile will require you to have used their service for 40 days.

An unlocked iPhone 6 will actually work on Verizon if you already have an active Verizon LTE SIM. However, it will show up as an "unknown" device, and you can't use it to create a new line with Verizon.

Glad you got it sorted, OP. I am returning my 6+ and sticking with my Note 4. It's the better phone (no holy war kids, just one man's opinion). The Moto X is a fine phone as well.
