Exactly.
If op can't see the difference between a non retina screen and retina then he should get his eyes checked.
Your iPad 2 doesn't look pixelated? Haha. I don't understand some people honestly.

Haha now now be nice.

Ipad mini has a better screen than ipad 2, same res but shrunk down made it look noticably sharper than ipad 2.

Funny thing is, the nexus 7 has a better screen than rmini.

Rminis screen is nice but its not out of this world amazing, like many on here are making it out to be.

You see a bigger improvement going from the rmini to air, than mini to rmini.

He was talking about going from a iPad 2 -retina mini not normal mini. So in that case what the hell are you smoking.
And to you... Going from a retina mini to a air is a bigger difference in screen quality than mini to retina mini? Wtf is wrong with people once again. Are both of you blind? I don't understand your logic. Once again. Mind=blown.

And I own both a rmini and air

I've had an iPad 2 in the past and retina 3rd gen.

Yes you have more improvement going from rmini to air. The mini has better gammut than rmini and with a full size screen on the air, its much easier to see which looks better.

Comparing rmini to air screen is like comparing ipad1 to ipad 3. Retina is much nicer on a 9.7" screen.

I dont know why you think its night and day difference from mini to rmini, when its not. Is the rmini sharper than mini? Yes and its noticable but you really have to look closely for it. Most people wont be able to tell.

You're basically talking screen size. I'm talking sharpness and the mini is sharper than the air....
I could care less about gamut. Do you crank up your saturation on your hd tv so the colors pop and aren't as natural too?

The rmini and air gamut screen color or whatever is really personal opinion. I don't see the minis screen as being less inferior honestly. Most people that own them don't either.

Wow I'm done trying to explain things lol. Disagree with everything your saying.
You never has original iPhones and when it went retina it was a world of difference. That was on a 3.5" screen not 8" screen so yes it's extremely noticeable.
But ya done arguing about this. It's ridiculous.

The mini has better gammut than rmini
Other than this simply being not true (just look it up on DisplayMate and save us the time for another pointless debate), your spelling of the word tells us how deep is your understanding of the matter.

So you're saying that comparing non-retina 9.7 to retina 9.7 is the same as comparing retina 7.9 to retina 9.7.
You're adding apples and oranges.
It doesn't make any sense.

Lol I know right.
Even on a 3.5" phone retina is a hugeeeee thing.

Are you blind or just trying to sound stupid? I see a major difference when looking at a mini and rmini but you can keep thinking there is no difference.

This is absurd, you are either blind or a liar. I have both as well as a first gen ipad, a third gen ipad and a forth gen ipad; the retina mini is night and day NIGHT AND DAY better than than original mini.
