So, recently ive realized that in China the ability to use google is becoming very rare.

I am going on a trip to Tokyo this summer with my family and I have been trying to use google maps to plot out multiple destinations and be able to plan ahead. Thus not back tracking or wasting too much time on the road.

Every morning, google works for about 20 minutes, and then as if google has shut down, i cannot access google. I KNOW this is because of some Chinese Internet Security guy sitting in an office somewhere in China and shutting me down. Thats ok, i guess but the questions is...

I went to a google forum and complained about this, and I did immaturely use the ***** word (sorry guys, sometimes I do get a little emotional)
But about 12 hours later I recieve an email from a Aliceclayb@gmail.com saying...

quote:
Just to let you know that you have been reported to Google authorities for using foul language on their site. This is illegal and can cost you fines and/or imprisonment for using this site inappropriately. At this tie you are advised to take your obscenities off line immediately or risk being notified of a court hearing.

Is this possible? I mean, she spelled the word "time" wrong, so she cant possible work for google or some sort of internet security, right?

Should I actually be worried?

Tokyo is in Japan. California is in the US.

What is the relation to China?

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't brain this!

Now not sure about Google forums, but you could be banned from their service for language infractions. Much like you could here.

Fines and/or imprisonment? iJohn has a point, you ARE in California, I wouldn't chance it! ;)

Hahaha!
Sorry guys, I am from Los Angeles, CA
But currently I am in Shanghai, China finishing my BA Degree.

Thus, Google is not working for me.

But thank you all for the replies, i think the person (Alice Claybo) is just a sit-at-home mom who saw my post and went a little overboard trying to scare me or something.

We shall see if some American Agents show up in Shanghai to prosecute me hahaha

I wouldn't be surprised if the chinese actually incarcerate you for cursing, but the US... only if directed at a judge or police i guess

So, am I to understand that a student in higher education started this thread?

The same thing happened to me... Google came during the night, threw me into a van, and drove me all the way to China. Something is about to get down, you need to get out of dodge!!!

Hey man! Hahaha
Yes, now after rereading my post I realize it could have been slightly dumb. But I have to say its not as dumb as all the people posting "New MBA vs 2012 MBA, Which should I get?"

I mean, if you asking which one you should buy, that usually means you can afford both. And if you can afford both it would only make logical sense to get the better one, since within a year, the better one will be outdated...

But regardless, I was quite unnerved from the email that woman sent me.
Thank to all for your responses, and in some cases, sarcasm.
