When comparing the camera specs of the 4S and 5 on Apple's site, both reputedly are capable of panorama. The number of elements, backside illumination, megapixels, f-stops, etc. are identical, except the 5's camera is thinner.

Okay. So if the 5's camera is capable of still shots during a video, that's now a function of the software, since the hardware is the same, correct? And since the 4S will run iOS6 without modification per Apple, then it too should be able to take stills during video?

Any devs with beta experience to chime in?

Its actually a function of the hardware.

Because the processor is fast enough to take pics while doing video.

Hardware. My GS3, as well as several other androids, all,do this now yet my older androids (running same ROM) do not.
