It does at least currently on 9.7 pro, though I'd like to be able to drag the split view app to anywhere rather than just either side.

on ios 11 on the 2gb devices the slide over app was modal, pausing/blocking interaction with the split apps, this is now not the case.

Works good on my iPad Mini 4 but with the swipe-up gesture how it works now it makes it more difficult to bring up the taskbar.

FYI this no longer works on beta 3. Must have been a bug earlier?

I’m sure the removal will ruffle some feathers. I’ve come to appreciate the “pause” of ‘background’ apps on my first gen iPad Pro 12 when using Slide Over (it keeps me from accidentally scrolling and marking apps in the background). I’d like to see the behavior options in Settings.
