After a bit of a hiccup requiring a restart and PRAM reset, it appears that 10.7.2. manages system usage and RAM usage a lot better than 10.7.1. Often when I was running Safari and Pages I was seeing available free RAM of less than 100MB at times, now its often over 1.4GB free.

Also noticed that tabs actually close in safari when the X is clicked, full screen taskbars function, and a slight decrease in start up/shut down time.

For now there also appears to be a snappiness to the UI with less beach balls of death than before. But time will tell.

You are right. I have been monitoring the RAM usage with ifreememory and I found the same. I think that apple got it right this time. In 10.7.1 I had also a problem with my volume. The volume buttons will gray out and no way to increase or decrease the volume. That problem has already be fixed. Yes Apple, that is what we were talking about.

Weird, RAM usage seems the same to me so far. But my startup time double to 50 secs and shutdown takes 15 secs compared to 5 before
