Improving Audio from iSight

I record music covers but the audio is really bad from the built in microphone on my Black Macbook. How can I improve the quality?
 
Buy an external microphone. Even the cheaper USB ones will be better than the built-in one.

No there isn't. Why would Apple have it preform worse than it could? What logic is there in that if Apple could simply make a microphone preform better? :rolleyes:

Just go buy a microphone. They're cheap. A great one can be had for $100-300.
